More than 85% of the world's population lives in the Global South, a region that transcends mere geography to become a global project. The Global South's unparalleled diversity in its polity, social, and natural aspects, coupled with varying degrees of economic and human development, and diverse governance systems. Unfortunately, imperial, colonial, and neo-colonial actors have long overlooked the Global South, hiding its knowledge and contribution, and deliberately marginalizing its visions.

Our lab, ‘The Global South: Past, Present, and Future of Worldmaking,’ is a platform for engaging with the social actors and institutions of the Global South. It is dedicated to unearthing the wealth of experiences, perspectives, and visions from the  Global South. We aim to foster mutual understanding, respect, and deeper bridging that will help improve people's lives and preserve our planet.

Our approach is collaborative. We will partner with social actors, institutions, and movements across the Global South to bring together a wide range of perspectives and visions. This collaboration will engage with global citizens (both in the South and the North) on contemporary challenges and build common strategies that envision a future where everyone and everything belong.
