The Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley brings together researchers, organizers, stakeholders, communicators, and policymakers to identify and eliminate the barriers to an inclusive, just, and sustainable society in order to create transformative change.
The Race, Diversity and Educational Policy Cluster focuses on two closely related areas: policy and school reform related to educational inequality; and student context, community collaboration and policy impacts. These research agendas address the intersections of racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender and socioeconomic inequities as it applies to educational policy, as well as to immigration policy, particularly as they affect the state of California.
