On January 13, 2017, professor powell met with the Colorado Fiscal Institute in Denver, Colorado, for the institute's annual Fiscal Forum. Professor powell spoke to a large audience comprised of community members and advocates, policy groups, organizing groups, and state and local funders, about race, our othering and belonging framework, and ways to combat structural racialization and moves towards structural inclusion.
