On April 20, john a. powell appeared via video to present on "The Perils and Promises of Fair Housing" as part of the Fair Housing Advocates of Northern California's Fair Housing Conference 2020 Series. Professor powell addressed the history of fair housing in California. He discussed challenges to residential desegregation. Finally, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, Dr. powell considered how California can turn this moment into a moonshot achievement. He proposed opportunity-based housing as a lens to help achieve such a moonshot for adequate, integrated housing in California.
