On Thursday, January 16, Professor powell gave a keynote in King County (Seattle) for Martin Luther King Jr. Day event focused on King County’s equity and racial justice priorities. The audience included community members, King County elected leaders and employees. Professor powell discussed the anxiety and tension that leads to breaking, causes of polarization and the need for specific interventions and Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of belonging.
