On October 25, 2019, Director john a. powell gave a keynote address in Beaverton, Oregon to members of the region’s Community Action Agency and members of the communities they serve. Director powell presented on the frameworks of belonging and bridging and spoke directly to the socioeconomic issues of the Washington County, Oregon region and steps the community can take to overcome othering and build a broader ‘we’ together.
