Join medical scholars Noor Chadha, Madeleine Kane, Bernadette Lim, and Brenly Rowland for community & dialogue as they reveal their report “Towards the Abolition of Biological Race in Medicine: Transforming Clinical Education, Research, and Practice” and celebrate the launch of the Institute for Healing and Justice in Medicine. The Institute is a Hub - a community, a research epicenter, and a dialogue space. We center around publishing and uplifting rigorous research, narratives, and stories related to social justice and community activism in Western medicine and public health. During this launch, you will be able to hear from student authors, national medical student activists, and the founders of the Institute on how to apply report findings towards justice in your medical institution/practice and how to be involved in the Institute's future activities.
The event is co-sponsored by UC Berkeley Center for Race and Gender, UCSF PRIME-US, UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine, and the Othering and Belonging Institute
