On October 18, 2024, Director john powell attended UC Davis School of Medicine's Symposium on Revitalizing Primary Care to Enhance Health Equity. The Symposium was organized by programmed by faculty from the UC Davis and UCSF Departments of Family and Community Medicine, UCD Department of Internal Medicine, and UCD Center for Healthcare Policy and Research. john was the keynote speaker and he presented on the basics of othering and belonging, targeted universalism, and how institutional medicine is a natural environment to implement targeted universalism.
