On February 15, 2022, Assistant Director Stephen Menendian testified before the California State Assembly's housing and community development committee and budget committee in a joint hearing on homeownership. Stephen presented data on current national and state-level racial disparities in homeownership, and reviewed eight specific policy ideas for reducing those disparities, along with specific real-world examples that have been implemented outside of California.
