On April 30, 2012, john a. powell gave a lecture on “Implicit Bias, Structural Marginalization, and Targeted Universalism” at The Denver Foundation. powell elucidated the differences between the conscious and unconscious minds; discussed the concepts of priming, stereotype threat, and structural racialization; and introduced the new paradigm of targeted universalism.
