Join us virtually on Thursday, Feb. 5 as we share insights about the first ever long bridge canvass in Orange County, California. Organizers from OCCCO (the Orange County Congregation Community Organization) led a long bridge canvass in the Anaheim Hills - a wealthier part of the city that's divided from west Anaheim both by a highway and the hills. Organizers use long bridging to engage with communities outside our usual base. Long bridging works to build larger “we” identities where people can disagree, but come together around our shared humanity and stake in a shared future.

Through the Anaheim Hills canvass, we piloted an innovative digital strategy focused on bolstering our long bridging efforts on the ground, and we are excited to share these initial, promising results. Hear about how these learnings from bridging in the OC alongside pilot projects in Michigan, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Nevada are transforming how we do civic engagement work, and building a stronger, multi-racial democracy.
