“Protecting California’s Renters: Opening the Door for Rent Control”

The Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society of the University of California, Berkeley invites you to a press briefing on Wednesday, September 19 where members of the institute will discuss their latest research brief, "Opening the Door for Rent Control: Toward a Comprehensive Approach to Protecting California's Renters." The brief finds that rent control, when applied with other housing policies, can prevent housing costs from spiraling out of control and forcing families to leave their neighborhoods while also allowing for the construction of much-needed housing developments.
