On September 13, 2019, Professor powell gave a keynote at the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) in California. Professor powell's keynote focused on targeted universalism and addressed initiatives such as Canada's culture pass, trust in government, and corporations interested in equity with shareholder value. The keynote also addressed how companies can and should advance racial equity while growing business.
