An evening with john a. powell on October 6, 2025, marked the launch of a large scale collaborative effort, All Together Now. The event drew a capacity crowd of almost 600 people to the Bowmer Theater in Ashland, Oregon. Professor powell's talk culminated in a panel with D.L. Richardson, Co-founder of Black Southern Oregon Alliance; Dee Anne Everson, Executive Director of United Way Jackson County; and Marko Bey, Executive Director and Founder of Lomakatsi Restoration Project. The panel was moderated by Dr. Rick Bailey, President of Southern Oregon University. The evening centered on challenges facing southern Oregon and the possibilities of creating bridges and working together to address our most critical problems.
