Ella Streng is a video producer and editor at the Othering & Belonging Institute. She creates video content for OBI and the Democracy & Belonging Forum's social media accounts and websites, and for OBI's online curriculums. Ella is passionate about collaborating with academics to bring their social science research into the public eye through film and multimedia. This passion led her to produce a multimedia project in 2021 to educate non-academic audiences on racial othering, and this is work she continues at OBI.
Ella previously participated in the 2022 Summer Fellowship at OBI. She has lived in five countries and has worked on issues ranging from Anti-Human Trafficking in San Francisco; low-income girls' education in Hyderabad, India; and North Korean refugee rehabilitation in Seoul, South Korea. At present, Ella calls Berlin home and is completing a master's in Sociology and Cultural Studies at Freie Universität.
