David Harding studies poverty and inequality, urban neighborhoods, education, causal inference, and the criminal legal system. He uses both qualitative and quantitative methods. Harding is currently the chair of the Department of Sociology, the Co-Director of the Computational Social Science Training Program, and the PI of an NSF Research Training Grant titled Computational Research for Equity in the Legal System.
