On February 3, 2021, Institute director john a. powell delivered a keynote address for the Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s Leadership Learning Series. Director powell’s talk focused on how to build and strengthen bridges in an era of deep polarization. He also emphasized the idea that belonging goes beyond inclusion to involve the co-creation of structures, institutions, and the conditions for human thriving. In discussing these topics, Director powell offered lessons for the nonprofit sector to incorporate bridging and belonging practices into their everyday operations.
