Chelsea Gregory (she/her) is a cultural & narrative strategist, social impact advisor, community-engaged creative, consultant, facilitator, and coach who has worked for over two decades with community-based organizations, educational institutions, non-profits, and corporations. In addition to her role as Resident Cultural Strategist with the Othering & Belonging Institute (OBI), she is a professional faculty member at UC Berkeley and works with the consulting firm Culture Shift Agency. Her community-engaged arts and cultural work includes collaborations with OBI's Belonging Resident Company, Calling Up Justice, Cornerstone Theater Company, Working Theater, and Make the Road New York.
Some of the methodologies she holds expertise in are cultural and narrative strategy, popular education, design for belonging, arts-based participatory research, restorative justice, culturally responsive teaching, anti-oppression practice, applied theater, mindfulness, and somatics. Chelsea was part of the 2019 Emergent Strategy Ideation Institute, and is guided by the principles of emergent strategy. She has also trained with the Academy for Coaching Excellence, Presencing Institute, Empowerment Institute, and People's Institute for Survival and Beyond. Her writing is published in "Occupying Privilege: Conversations on Love, Race and Liberation," the Charis Review, "We Got Issues! A Young Woman’s Guide to a Bold, Courageous and Empowered Life," and Steve Cannon’s "Gathering of the Tribes."
