Charlotte Taylor is the Institute’s Administrative Coordinator, supporting our teams with office administration, purchasing and procurement, and event planning amongst other duties.
Prior to joining the Institute in 2021 Charlotte worked as a bookseller at BookWoman in Austin, Texas, one of North America’s few remaining feminist bookstores. In 2020 Charlotte graduated from UT Austin with a Master of Arts in women’s and gender studies; her master’s thesis examined Afrofuturism, Black feminism, and children’s literature and how the three intersect to create frameworks of belonging for Black girls. Her experience in academia combined with the time she spent living and traveling abroad have fostered her passion for a diverse and equitable planet, and for feminism, inclusion, innovation, and social justice. She is passionate about spreading knowledge and narratives about, from, and to marginalized communities.
