Charlotte Taylor is the Institute’s Administrative Coordinator; she helps keep the Institute running in various capacities.

Prior to joining OBI in 2021 Charlotte worked as a bookseller at BookWoman in Austin, Texas, one of North America’s few remaining feminist bookstores. In 2020 Charlotte graduated from UT Austin with a Master of Arts in women’s & gender studies; her master’s thesis examined Afrofuturism, Black feminism, and children’s literature and how the three intersect to create frameworks of belonging for Black girls. Her experiences in academia combined with the time she spent living and traveling abroad have fostered her passion for creating a world in which all people (& creatures) belong.
