On November 13th, 2024, john powell spoke at a forum hosted by UNESCO and Novact in Barcelona. john provided the audience with a primer on belonging and othering. Then, he was featured on a panel with SOS Racisme, Bombo N'Dir, and Hatim Azahri, and the four of them discussed how antiracism relates to current issues facing Barcelona. The panel was moderated by Bea Duodu Owusu.
