Rose Longhurst

Rose Longhurst is the Unit Manager for Democratic Renewal in the Open Society Europe and Central Asia Programme, leading the work on democratic innovation in Europe. Prior to this she helped to set up FundAction and The Edge Fund, and worked with the EDGE Funders Alliance. She is a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity and is currently on the board of Global Greengrants Fund.

The role of philanthropy in advancing democracy and belonging to counter authoritarianism
This session will gather funders interested in sharing ideas and practices to strengthen democracy and belonging. We are keen to discuss emerging work in the European context and how this connects with learning and experiences at the global level.
