Yehya Abuzaid is a current research fellow at the Othering and Belonging Institute's Global Justice Program. There he tackles Climate Justice, specifically the effort to recognize those displaced by climate induced events as Climate Refugees. Through his research he investigates datasets relating to the various elements of climate displacement and writes nationwide case studies that illustrate the complex dynamics occurring in states in the Global South.

Outside the Institute, Yehya works with the Sana'a Center for Strategic Studies, an independent think-tank that seeks to foster change through knowledge production with a focus on Yemen and the surrounding region. There, he works with the U.S team's efforts to promote nuanced, sensible, and positive policies relating to Yemen.

He received his degree in 2021 from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A in Global Studies.
