Join author Sheryll Cashin for a book talk about her recently-released White Space, Black Hood: Opportunity Hoarding and Segregation in the Age of Inequality, followed by a conversation with john a. powell, director of the Othering & Belonging Institute. The event will be moderated by Stephen Menendian, who leads the Institute's research on racial residential segregation.

White Space, Black Hood shows how government created “ghettos” and affluent white space and entrenched a system of American residential caste that is the linchpin of US inequality—and issues a call for abolition.
