Natalie Spievack is a Master of City Planning candidate at UC Berkeley and a research assistant to Professor john a. powell. Previously, she was a research analyst at the Urban Institute, where her work focused on addressing racial and socioeconomic inequities from birth through higher education and careers. While at the Urban Institute, she also helped lead internal efforts to develop the organization’s structural racism and racial equity work. Natalie is interested in housing and school integration as levers for racial justice and in affordable housing and community development more broadly. Natalie received her BA in political science and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
