Haas Institute’s Coblentz Research Fellows, Aida Ashouri and Peggy Li, attended Critical Race Theory: From the Academy to the Community, on February 9, 2013. This conference took place at Yale Law School despite severe weather conditions caused by the blizzard. Over 150 students, professors, and practitioners traveled to hear Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw, Lani Gunier, Gerald Torres, and other leaders in the field discuss critical race theory and its application to law school pedagogy, judicial review, and community organizing. In a forthcoming blog, Aida Ashouri and Peggy Li will discuss their experience in further detail.
