“The Hand You're Dealt”

“The Hand You're Dealt” is an interactive card game that sparks critical conversations about Reproductive Justice through real-world scenarios and lived experiences. Through guided discussion, players build empathy, deepen their understanding of how policy and identity intersect, and reflect on the systems that either protect or obstruct a person's ability to live freely and have access to the resources they need to thrive. This session will engage participants in gameplay and will facilitate meaningful dialogue about creating more just and equitable communities. It will also help participants make connections between a host of injustices including but not limited to: environmental racism, criminal injustice, income and food insecurity, historic redlining, underfunded school districts, voter suppression, redistricting, and structural racism and institutional sexism.
