Building a Bigger We: A Bridging Differences Practice Lab
How do we turn the aspiration of a “bigger we” into experiences that help people connect, collaborate, and belong across their differences?
Join the Greater Good Science Center's Juliana Tafur in this interactive practice lab, where participants will experience science-based skills for bridging differences from the inside out. Through guided reflection, paired exchange, and experimentation, we’ll practice moving from assumption to curiosity—and explore what becomes possible.
Participants will bring a real gathering, program, coalition, or community initiative into the workshop and reimagine it using three research-informed strategies: surfacing underlying values, revealing shared identities, and creating mutual goals that invite genuine cooperation.
Come ready to reflect, connect, and create. Leave with a practical idea for transforming a space you lead into one where a bigger “we” can begin to take shape.
