Between the Rooms: Who Gets to Belong?

As a queer rural organizer, labor leader, publisher, and law student, Belle Townsend moves between communities that don’t always speak the same language. This participatory workshop invites participants to reflect on the rooms they come from, the spaces they enter, and the invisible rules that shape who feels welcome, who is heard, and who gets to shape the community. Through guided writing prompts and conversation, participants will explore belonging, power, and what it means to build spaces where more people can see themselves in the “we.”
