The Muslim Legal Fund of America presents “Citizens on Probation,” its virtual 20th Anniversary Symposium featuring presentations and panel discussions with thought leaders and scholars in national security law, civil rights, and the American-Muslim community, including: john a. powell, Professor of Law, Professor of African American Studies and Ethnic Studies, Robert D. Haas Chancellor's Chair in Equity and Inclusion, Director, Othering & Belonging Institute and Jonathan Manes, Attorney in the MacArthur Justice Center’s Illinois Office.  

In this engaging, interactive event, we will explore the lasting impact 9/11 has had on the American-Muslim community and the history of civil rights infringements perpetrated in the name of national security. We will also begin to envision a collective path forward.
