Cesar Mesias is a socially-conscious designer working towards democratizing the built environment and is currently pursuing a Master's in Real Estate Development + Design. His past work met at the intersection of design, equity, health, sustainability, and user-generated urbanism. As a technical assistance provider, he drew from community knowledge to inform planning, development, and government processes across U.S. cities.

He joins the Othering & Belonging Institute as an Arts & Cultural Strategy Research Assistant looking at historical and contemporary models for anchoring artists and cultural practitioners in place.
